LEED v3 has set the building industry benchmark for certification of green buildings with over 1.85 million square feet certified daily. A number of net zero energy (ZNE) and Passive House structures are dual certified as LEED Platinum - a distinction reserved for the highest levels of energy efficiency and careful selection of materials. LEED v3 is undergoing a makeover with alternative conformance pathways allowing LEED v4 optimized products and designs.
