Al Morris and Jake Boyer elevated to VP positions; two promoted to Area Sales Managers

The latest round of promotions at PROSOCO puts a VP in the title of two PROSOCO leaders. Al Morris, who previously served as National Sales Manager, has been promoted to Vice President of New Business Development. Jake Boyer, previously the head of PROSOCO’s Clean & Protect Group, has been promoted to Vice President of Sales. The promotions, announced by newly appointed PROSOCO President Kevin Sigourney, will go into effect Jan. 1, 2024.

Sigourney noted Morris’ strategic vision, industry-leading networking skills, years of involvement with key national organizations, and extensive knowledge of the building products industry as strengths that have helped propel PROSOCO’s growth in recent years. Combined, Sigourney says these qualities “will enable (Morris) to drive our growth ambitions by identifying new strategic business opportunities, assessing them for their fit with PROSOCO, and developing the critical relationships necessary for their success.”

Jake Boyer, a member of the fourth generation of the family-owned business, joined PROSOCO in 2013 and has since served in a wide variety of roles, including Technical Specialist for the Building Envelope Group, Regional Sales Manager for the Pacific Northwest and Mountain States, and Business Unit Leader for the Clean & Protect group of products.

Known for his “quick learning, innovative thinking, and dedicated leadership, Jake has significantly contributed to our growth during his decade-long tenure,” Sigourney says.

In the newly created position, Boyer will oversee Area Managers, Regional Sales Managers, and independent representatives. He will also be charged with broadening PROSOCO’s presence in all relevant markets across all business lines.

Two long-serving Regional Sales Managers have also been promoted.

Clay Witt, previously a Regional Sales Manager covering several states in the Midwest, was promoted earlier this year to Area Sales Manager for the U.S. South. His previous territory has now expanded to include Missouri, Nebraska, southern Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.

Witt was lauded for his “relentlessly upbeat attitude, contagious drive, and dedication to growth,” according to Sigourney. “Clay’s skillset and commitment to the business and industry have had a positive impact on PROSOCO, and he will be vital to growing our presence in an important market for us going forward.”

Ken Rathbun, who previously served PROSOCO as a Regional Sales Manager in Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa, has been promoted to Area Sales Manager for the Upper Midwest, which adds Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, western Pennsylvania and western upstate New York to his existing territory.

Morris praised Rathbun for “consistently leading his team to set growth targets while fostering a culture of collaboration. His strategic mindset and ability to adapt to changing market conditions led us to continually expand his territory of responsibility through his time with PROSOCO, and he continues to deliver consistent results. Ken is great at relationship-building, and we have entrusted him to manage relationships with several strategic accounts.”

“Ken brings exceptional leadership skills, industry knowledge and a strong focus on achieving sales targets. I have no doubt that he will excel in his new role, continue to inspire those around him, and contribute significantly to the continued growth and success of our company.”

Sigourney says together, these promotions lay the groundwork necessary to achieve PROSOCO’s future ambitions.

“The advancements of Al and Jake, coupled with Clay Witt and Ken Rathbun's elevations to Area Sales Managers roles, are intended to form a solid foundation for our company’s success, both now and well into the future,” he says. I’m excited to see them take on new challenges as we drive our growth plan into reality.”
