PROSOCO’s R-Guard Spray Wrap MVP is a crucial part of a high-performance building envelope. This acrylic, water-based air barrier provides excellent protection against water intrusion and helps control air permeability.

Why choose Spray Wrap MVP?

Spray Wrap MVP is a fluid-applied air barrier, so not only is it easier and faster to apply than traditional house wrap or sheet-based air barrier products, it also performs better -- that's because with Spray Wrap MVP, there are no seams, edges, or overlaps that have to be shingled properly.

Since it is a water-based product, Spray Wrap MVP should only be applied in fair weather conditions with no rain in the forecast. However, it has the unique benefit of being installable in temperatures as low as 25°F, making it suitable for colder climates.

1. Spray or roll Spray Wrap MVP

Spray or roll Spray Wrap MVP across the entire building facade. Spray Wrap MVP can be installed by rolling or by spraying. This flexibility allows crews to adapt to different job site conditions easily.

Spray Wrap MVP is compatible with GRACO and Titan airless spray equipment with the following specifications:

  • Minimum 1.5–2 gallons output immersion feed

  • Minimum hose diameter of 3/8-inch. NOTE: A ¼-inch x 3-foot whip hose may be used for ergonomic purposes. Run 3/8-inch ID hose all the way to the 3-foot whip hose. If hoses longer than 50 feet are required to a maximum hose length of 150 feet, use 75 feet of ½-inch hose and 75 feet of 3/8-inch hose with a 3 foot ¼-inch whip hose.

  • Minimum tip size of 0.027–0.031.

  • Minimum pressure requirement to spray of 2,000 psi at the gun with an airless sprayer rated no lower than 3,300 psi.

  • Remove all filters in sprayer & gun before application.

2. Overlap the detailed membrane by at least 1 inch.

3. Install to 10 mil thickness

Spray Wrap MVP should be installed at a 10 mil thickness. You can use a mil gauge to measure, but Spray Wrap MVP is also designed to help ensure correct application thickness. When the coating reaches full opacity and you can no longer see through it, you've achieved the proper coverage.

Additional Options

For projects featuring open joint systems or rainscreen applications, Spray Wrap MVP is also available in a rain screen version. This version comes in a dark charcoal, nearly black color, and is engineered to withstand UV exposure while continuing to perform as an air and water barrier behind ventilated cladding.

Whether you're working through colder months or looking for a dual-purpose air and water barrier with flexible application methods, Spray Wrap MVP delivers reliable performance and protection for a wide range of building designs.
