PROSOCO hires Chris Tobias as building envelope technical specialist

Chris Tobias has been hired by PROSOCO to serve as its newest Building Envelope Group technical specialist. From his homebase of Noblesville, Ind., Tobias will provide support to customers of PROSOCO’s R-Guard air and water barrier products in Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia and Minnesota, as well as parts of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois and Missouri.

Formerly a sales manager for IKO Commercial Building Products, Tobias brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in roofing applications and building envelope materials to his new role. Prior to his most recent position, he was the owner/operator of a Steri-Clean franchise and worked for Firestone Building Products in a variety of sales and management roles. He also worked in sales for Spec Building Materials and Centimark Roof Systems Corp.

“I’m very excited about what Chris has to offer customers of R-Guard,” said Dave Pennington, head of PROSOCO’s Building Envelope Group. “His specific knowledge in roofing applications will add immediate value to project teams in his territory, and with his robust background in sales, I have no doubt he’ll live up to the PROSOCO reputation of providing the best support in the industry.”

Tobias is a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University (where he lettered three years in track and field) and a diehard Michigan fan. He has five kids and two grandchildren.
