How to install Thru-Wall Flashing: a step-by-step guide

PROSOCO’s Thru-Wall Flashing is an extra-tough, abrasion-resistant flashing designed for easy installation and long-term durability. Thru-Wall Flashing is perfect to use for:

  • Transition membranes from below-grade waterproofing to above-grade air barriers.
  • Parapet applications, especially when connecting to roofing membranes.

✅ Step 1: Apply your air barrier

The process of installing Thru-Wall Flashing is done after the primary air barrier has been installed to the field of the wall. The flashing is designed to adhere directly to the air barrier.

Peel first half of film

✅ Step 2: Peel half of the film backing off the Thru-Wall Flashing

Peel off the film from the vertical portion of the flashing.

Place horizontal

✅ Step 3: Place the Thru-Wall Flashing on the vertical surface

Use hand pressure to tack it into place. Follow up with a J-roller to secure the bond.

✅ Step 4: Peel other half of film backing

✅ Step 5: Place the Thru-Wall Flashing onto horizontal surface

Use hand pressure to tack it into place. Follow up with a J-roller to secure the bond.

To complete the installation, apply FastFlash as your counterflashing. This is the go-to detail to ensure a watertight and reliable seal.
