SS ThruWall is PROSOCO’s stainless steel through-wall flashing. It is a durable, long-lasting option for flashing critical components like shelf angles and other through-wall penetrations. In this guide, we'll walk you through a simple, effective method for installing SS ThruWall using FastFlash.

What You’ll Need
- SS ThruWall
- FastFlash
- Termination bar
- Caulking or sausage gun
- Chip brush or bondo spreader
- Protective gloves

Step 1: Apply your PROSOCO air barrier
The process of installing SS ThruWall is done after the primary air barrier has been installed to the field of the wall. The flashing is designed to install directly onto the air barrier.

Step 2: Measure
Measure the length of SS ThruWall needed. SS ThruWall comes in 60-foot rolls in 12-inch, 18-inch, 24-inch, or 36-inch widths.

Step 3: Cut
Cut the SS ThruWall to the desired length.

Step 4: Apply FastFlash
Run two beads of FastFlash on the vertical wall underneath where the SS ThruWall will go: one bead at the top edge, and one in the center of where the SS ThruWall will be installed. This will help secure the body of the flashing.
Apply two more beads of FastFlash to where the horizontal section of SS ThruWall will be set.

Step 5: Wet-set the SS ThruWall flashing
Bend and position the soft, malleable SS ThruWall into the sealant while it’s still wet. Press firmly to ensure a strong bond with the wall and good adhesion to the FastFlash beads.

Step 6: Install a Termination Bar
At the top edge of the flashing, install a termination bar to mechanically secure the flashing to the wall.

Step 7: Counterflash with FastFlash
Apply a final bead of FastFlash over the top edge of the flashing, covering both the air-barriered wall and the termination bar. Use a chip brush or bondo spreader to spread the FastFlash and fully seal out moisture and create a weather-tight edge.
