Garritt Visser joins PROSOCO as Area Sales Manager in the West

Garritt Visser, a 14-year veteran in the construction industry with an array of experience up and down the West Coast and Pacific, has joined PROSOCO as the Area Sales Manager for the U.S. and Canadian West.

Visser’s background includes stints at manufacturers like Hilti, Oldcastle, Owens Corning and Stanley Black & Decker. Though seemingly heavy in construction tools and equipment, his experience is focused on product services platforms and technical specified materials, including those pertaining to the curtain wall, edge of slab, façade, structural and architectural areas.

One of Visser’s first initiatives is to recruit and build a sales team in the West, including Regional Sales Managers in the Northwest, Northern California, Southern California/Arizona, and the Mountain States. From there, he aims to “make sure all our resources are in play so that our customers have what they need to succeed, to grow our customers’ business and to be their #1 partner in the West.”

The holder of degrees in International Business, Management, and Finance from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, Visser says joining the PROSOCO team felt like the right fit for multiple reasons.

“I like that it’s a privately held family company that has driven the industry with product innovation and sustainable building science for 85 years and counting,” he says. “Also, I enjoy the more technical side of the industry and business. With the reputable brand and quality at PROSOCO, and then you add in the people, level of service, depth and breadth of products, those things really piqued my interest and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

Jake Boyer, Vice President of Sales, says the addition of Visser is part of an exciting period of growth for PROSOCO’s sales organization as it looks to add boots on the ground to better support customers and industry partners as the business continues to grow.

“Garritt has immediately contributed some great ideas and perspectives on the territory, and he is quickly getting up to speed,” Boyer says.

Based out of Phoenix, Ariz., Visser will lead a sales team in the territories of Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, California, Alaska, and Hawaii; as well as the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
