Accounting Specialist A/R
JOB SUMMARY
Starting rate is $18.75 to $19.75 per hour with up to 3 years of experience.
As Accounting Specialist A/R you will work under the direction of Controller. In this role you will be responsible for all activities in the accounts receivable function. Essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Issues invoices, approved credits and approved adjustments timely and/or on a daily basis for all product shipped/returned.
- Cash application of payments received.
- Research and process customer credit holds in a timely manner to support “Out the Door in 24”.
- Daily review of past due accounts and make necessary collection calls to resolve outstanding issues as per company established timelines.
- Process inventory adjustments, as needed, for credits and rebills and inventory returns.
- Reconcile the A/R to the G/L daily.
- Maintain an accurate aging report.
- Research and recommend accounts receivable adjustments.
- Provide sales reports to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain customer master files with current information.
- Maintain Resale Certificates for current customers.
- Weekly A/R Aging Review with Credit Manager and Controller.
- Send monthly statements to customers.
- Review and prepare worksheet monthly for expense reports assigned to this position.
